MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say one person has died after a crash during a pursuit Tuesday, Oct. 20. 

According to the police department, a 34-year-old victim flagged down officers at 25th and State Street Tuesday afternoon and said their vehicle had just been stolen at gunpoint with a 33-year-old passenger inside. 

Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle and the driver fled, prompting a pursuit that ended when the vehicle lost control, struck a median, rolled over and collided with another vehicle near 27th and Highland Boulevard. 

Officials say the driver of the fleeing vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 70-year-old driver of the vehicle that was struck, along with their passenger, reported minor injuries. 

An investigation is ongoing.
