MPD: Squad car hit, people detained following fight and pursuit outside Potawatomi Casino Hotel
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An overnight police presence outside of Potawatomi Casino Hotel reportedly resulted in multiple people being detained and an MPD car being struck and a pursuit.
Milwaukee Police Department responded to the disturbance at Potawatomi Casino Hotel on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at around 3 a.m. Police say that several people refused to leave the area and were causing a disturbance before one of the suspects allegedly attempted to strike an employee.
Following the initial altercation, police say a car attempted to leave the scene, reportedly resulting in an officer’s foot being run over and an unoccupied squad car being hit.
Three 20-year-old women were ultimately arrested and cited, including the driver of the car that struck the MPD squad car and fled.
Officials at PCH report that a police offer received immediate medical evaluation by the Milwaukee Fire Department after having his foot run over, but that the officer reported no serious injuries. No other injuries were reported, including to casino guests or staff.
