MPD investigating 2 early New Year's Day shootings with 2 injuries

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that occurred early Monday, Jan. 1, both resulting in non-fatal injuries.

The first incident took place near 9th and Chambers at around 1 a.m. involving a 22-year-old victim who was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Another shooting occurred near 44th and Forest at around 2:45 a.m. where a 47-year-old individual sustained injuries and received medical attention at a local hospital.

Details about both shootings, as well as searches for unknown suspects, are still taking place, according to MPD.
