MPD investigating overnight double shooting near 11th and North

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a double shooting that occurred near 11th and North Ave., leaving two people wounded.

The shooting reportedly took place on Wednesday, April 3 at right around 2 a.m.

Police believe that it followed a verbal altercation.

A 35-year-old victim sustained non-fatal injuries and was self-transported to a local hospital. A 30-year-old victim received non-fatal gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

MPD says that the motives behind the shooting are currently under investigation, with authorities actively searching for unknown suspects.
