MPD: Man in critical condition after being shot on Milwaukee's east side while stopping a car break-in

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened near Cambridge and Bolyston.

Police say a 35-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and is being treated at a local hospital. He is in critical condition. 

According to police, the circumstances leading up to the shooting suggest the victim interrupted a vehicle break-in..

Police are seeking unknown suspects. 

Police did not provide the time of the incident.
