MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Sunday, July 13, Milwaukee police say a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection to this case.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) confirmed that Jamal White has been located and is safe.

"The Milwaukee Police Department would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter," said MPD in a press advisory.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for 7-year-old Jamal White, who was last seen Friday, July 11, around 7:00 p.m.

The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) says he was last seen in the area of W. Hustis St. when he was taken at gunpoint by a suspect in a White Jeep Renegade SUV.

A neighbor's surveillance video shows a child riding his bike past a Jeep Renegade SUV when it turns around. Shortly after, you hear the child screaming, calling for their dad.

WARNING: DISTRUBING AUDIO

White is a young black male, standing around 4 feet tall and weighing about 80 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.

"Why would they take a kid that age?" asked neighbor Emynelious Magee. He said he often saw Jamal, like many kids, playing outside. "They play up and down the streets all the time, I don’t know what’s become of this world today," he continued.

Now, the streets are empty, except for Milwaukee Police speaking with neighbors, trying to find out what happened to Jamal. One neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous said she heard a "commotion" but didn't realize it was Jamal until it was too late. She said she was "Terrified, like what? This little baby been around here since he was a baby, riding up and down the street. Like, wow, I hope he comes home safe. He was scared, I know he was scared. It’s really hard to hear that."

Neighbors now voice their worry over their own kids and grandchildren. "It’s getting scarier and scarier every day," said Magee. "That baby was so scared, traumatic. That baby is traumatized. We couldn’t sleep. We've been up all night, just hearing it. It was piercing. It was hurtful" said the other neighbor.

West Hustis Street, residents say, is a family-friendly area. Which is why it's the last place they'd expect this to happen. Neighbors say it was "shocking it happened here... Nothing like that happens over here. It’s really quiet, kid can go outside and play, walk to the park on their own. It’s really nice. That happened here? By our house? That stuff down here don’t happen."

The suspect is a Black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and at the time of the abduction, was wearing a black face mask while holding a handgun.
