Music director Ken-David Masur to leave MSO after 2025-26 concert season

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra announced Friday that music director and conductor Ken-David Masur will leave that position after the 2025-26 concert season, ending a seven-year tenure that was both exciting and challenging for the organization.

Masur joined MSO just before the Covid pandemic, which wiped out a lot of concerts.

After that, he led the orchestra as it moved into its new home, the Bradley Symphony Center on Wisconsin Avenue.

Masur will stay on through next season as MSO searches for its next artistic leader.
