MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A children's book written by the daughter of one reggae superstar is coming to life on stage.
"Bob Marley's Three Little Birds" is a musical that shares Marley's message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds.
Based on "Every Little Thing" by Cedella Marley, the show uses the singer's songs to tell the story of Ziggy, a boy in Jamaica who is scared to leave his home after a hurricane. With the help of some feathered friends, he learns that every little thing is going to be alright.
The show's director tells CBS 58 that reminding kids they can be brave, even when they are scared, is what this production is all about.
"That's one of the things that I really want young people to get from this particular play, that no matter what challenges I'm facing, I can overcome them," director Samantha Montgomery said.
If you want to get jamming, you can catch the show at the Todd Wehr Theater at the Marcus Center until May 21. This Saturday, the show will be sensory-friendly.
