New Berlin police receive complaint of THC edibles found in child's trick-or-treat candy

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to the New Berlin Police Department, they received a complaint from a parent who discovered THC edibles in their child's trick-or-treat candy on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

"Stoney Patch" is in similar appearance to "Sour Patch Kids" candy. Police say it is believed to be an isolated incident; however, parents are highly encouraged to check their children's trick-or-treat candy.

There have been no reports of any children becoming ill from THC edibles, and the police department has no active leads at this time.
