SOUTH BELOIT, IL. (CBS 58) -- New information has been released in the death of a Milwaukee woman at a truck stop in South Beloit. The death happened on Wednesday, November 1 when 27-year-old Nakiela Thompson was found dead at the truck stop.
On Thursday, December 14, investigators discovered that Thompson's death happened at a home in the town of Beloit in Wisconsin.
Detectives interviewed 50-year-old Marco Rodriguez who said that Thompson died on Huebbe Parkway in Beloit. He said that he did not kill Thompson but did move her body to the truck stop.
Rodriguez has been arrested for hiding a corpse and is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday, December 18 at 3:00 p.m.
At the time, FBI and Winnebago County Sheriff's Detectives were only able to identify the body through fingerprints.
Results of the autopsy are still pending and the investigation has been turned over to the Rock County Sheriff's Department.
