New event venue opening in vacant Third Ward Riverwalk spot

MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Two Birds Event Group is excited to release plans for The Starling, their newest venue that will be opening on the former space of SURG on the Water -- 102 N. Water Street. 

Owners of Milwaukee Airwaves, The Ivy House and Filament are working with design-build firm Three Sixty to create a bright space with large floor-to-ceiling windows that face the water. There will be light bouncing off the adjacent Milwaukee River to illuminate the intimate space.

Three Sixty is a well-known firm that has made their mark on Milwaukee's tourist attractions like Hacienda Brewing Co. and Char'd and DanDan in the Third Ward.

In-house catering will be ran by Tall Guy and a Grill, who will serve weddings, corporate and non-profit events. They also hope to host pop-up dinners and other events open to the public so they can use the Riverwalk space during the summer.
