NABJ-Milwaukee to host 2nd annual Black Men’s Health Panel
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Wauwatosa Wednesday, County Executive David Crowley signed a bill that further affirms Milwaukee County's effort to combat reckless driving.
The new legislation allows the sheriff's office to impound cars that are used during reckless driving offenses.
Crowley claims the county has seen a decline in reckless driving over the past year but thinks his administration's battle against the issue is far from over.
"Nearly every motorist, pedestrian, cyclist, transit rider, all throughout Milwaukee County at some point will tell you that there is a street they avoid because of the roadway designs," Executive Crowley said. "Our streets should be safe for everyone that uses them."
This bill is the latest effort in Milwaukee County's Vision Zero effort, which has a goal of eliminating all traffic-related deaths by the year 2037.
