Glendale (CBS 58)--This is one of those weather days you've been waiting for all winter long. Temperatures are expected to hit 60, something we haven't seen since early December. But who's counting? WE ARE!
Golfers at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Glendale are taking full advantage of what we've been given by Mother Nature. They're able to play at least nine holes. But the one stipulation is no golf carts because the ground is still not ready for all the weight and the pressure. I'm told the course is in fairly good condition because the soil is fairly sandy, allowing all the moisture from the last few months to be absorbed for the most part.
You're able to tee off until 4pm, but you're asked to call ahead to make a reservation. The number is 414-962-2400. Those at Lincoln Park say the course will stay open as long as weather permits.
