Oak Creek Culture Celebration offers day of global diversity 🌍
OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Oak Creek Culture Celebration, known as CAFE, is scheduled to take place on Saturday. Sept. 23 aims to showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the community.
Scheduled between 1 - 5 p.m., the event will be held immediately after the Farmers Market in Oak Creek’s Drexel Town Square.
Now in its fourth year, CAFE is organized by the Oak Creek Tourism Commission and has sponsorship from Eder Flag. The event will feature cultural displays, art, food and entertainment, representing a diverse range of communities including Cuban, Filipino, Japanese, Hmong, Egyptian, Sikh and more.
A community art project is also on the agenda.
Food offerings will encompass a global range, and for the first time, beers from various countries will be available. The day's entertainment is set to feature performances ranging from Japanese Taiko Drummers to Irish Fiddle and Bouzouki music.
CAFE offers the public an opportunity to engage in cultural enrichment, bringing together various organizations to share their unique histories and traditions. No registration is required for this open community event.
