Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Gravy
October has been a tale of two months so far when it comes to temperatures. We started off with five straight above average highs in the 70s and 80s but since then we've had 11 straight below average days in the 50s to around 60. Overall the warmth has still won out and it is the 26th warmest start to October on record.
Tuesday morning was a frosty start. We saw the first 30s of the season in Milwaukee and some inland hometowns had the first freeze of the season. Thankfully we won't have to worry about any frost or freeze the next few days with lows in the 40s and low 50s. Our next chance for some patchy frost won't arrive until Sunday morning.
When it comes to highs, we warm into the upper 50s Tuesday the into the 60s Wednesday and Thursday with a touch of warmth before dropping into the 50s going into the weekend.
If you're looking ahead to the end of the month and Halloween we have a bit of good news. The 8-14 day temperature trend which takes us to October 30 gives us a 40% chance for above average temperatures so right now there's a better chance for low 60s than low 50s for the holiday.
