Widespread rain is overspreading the Badger State this afternoon with temps in the 40s and mid 50s.
Steady, widespread rain will continue for the rest of the afternoon, becoming more scattered in nature this evening into the start of the night.
Another push of more widespread rain moves in during the early morning hours on Monday, tapering off to isolated showers by mid morning. There should be a good amount of dry time Monday afternoon.
The third wave of widespread rain and embedded storms moves in Monday night into Tuesday morning. While we'll have widespread rain to start Election Day, it'll transition to scattered showers and storms in the afternoon.
We're still anticipating a solid 1-2" of rain across SE WI with locally higher totals between 2-3" possible due to storms.
The wind has been picking up today with gusts around 20-30 mph. Wind will turn to the southwest on Monday and gust around 20-30 mph once again. Strongest winds arrive on Election Day with afternoon gusts around 30-40 mph.
Temps will be on the warm side the next couple of days with highs in the upper 60s Monday and mid 60s Tuesday. Temps then drop back into the 50s for the rest of the week, which is still above normal for this time of year.
