Officials investigate 'toxic work environment' within Milwaukee's DNC Host Committee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With just five months until the Democratic National Convention, a confidential source says officials are investigating a toxic work environment within Milwaukee's Host Committee.

Chief of Staff Adam Alonso is on administrative leave, and Committee President Liz Gilbert has been told not to contact staff.

Mayor Tom Barrett's office released a statement saying he supports a process to investigate the allegations.

DNC CEO Joe Solmonese issued a statement saying in part, "the claims made by employees of the Milwaukee 2020 Host Comittee present an unacceptable and upsetting environment."
