VILLAGE OF LAC LA BELLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Family has identified the 18-year-old who died after falling from a boat on Okauchee Lake as Aiden Radosevich. 

Family tells CBS 58, Aiden had just graduated from Pewaukee High School with dreams of becoming a real estate mogul.

VILLAGE OF LAC LA BELLE, Wis. (CBS 58) - An 18-year-old man from Pewaukee died after falling from a boat into Okauchee Lake, prompting an overnight search that ended Saturday morning, June 20, when authorities recovered his body.

The incident was reported just before 10:45 p.m. Friday. According to emergency radio traffic, a witness told dispatchers that an 18-year-old male had fallen off a boat in the middle of the lake and could not be located.

"We're online with a subject who's advising their friend fell off of their boat in the middle of Okauchee Lake about five minutes ago and not able to find him," a dispatcher said in radio communications.

Multiple agencies responded, deploying dive teams, boats, drones and specialized underwater equipment in an extensive search effort.

First responders suspended the search at about 1 a.m. Saturday and resumed operations at 6:30 a.m. as a recovery mission.

Just before noon, wardens with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources located the victim in approximately 90 feet of water.

Authorities later identified the victim as an 18-year-old man from Pewaukee.

The Road T boat launch, which had been affected during the search, has since reopened.

In a statement, the Village of Lac La Belle Police Department said in part:

"There will be no further information given at this time. Our sincere condolences go out to the victim's family and everyone involved in this tragedy." 

The incident remains under investigation.



VILLAGE OF LAC LA BELLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Western Lakes Fire District and Village of Lac La Belle Police are investigating reports of a person who went overboard along Okauchee Lake.

Officials say they responded to the incident on the lake on Friday, June 19, at around 10:40 p.m.


The Western Lakes Fire District says rescue boats, divers, and sonar equipment were immediately deployed, and that the search went on until 1:00 a.m.

The search and recovery efforts resumed at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20. 

As a result, the Road T boat launch has been closed off to the public until further notice to facilitate the ongoing operations. 


The Western Lakes Fire District ask that the community and all boaters to avoid the area of active search efforts.
