One dead in Kenosha County crash

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says one person is dead after a crash that happened Friday at the intersection of Highways 50 and 83, commonly referred to as "Brass Ball Corners".

The investigation shows a Chevy Camaro exited a parking lot with the intention to head east, however, failed to see a Honda Element traveling eastbound. The Camaro struck the Element on the passenger side, causing the Honda to roll on to the driver's side.

Flight for Life was called, however, the driver of the Honda, 66-year-old Melanie Olson, was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle was cited for failing to yield causing death and improper right turn.
