GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) – Grafton Police are investigating leads into the person or people that are dropping roofing nails around the city.
According to police, it is happening in several areas including neighborhoods and busy roads.
One woman told us she was driving in the area last week when she got a flat. It was repaired, but the patch didn’t hold and now she may have to buy a new tire.
“I don’t need one more thing to worry about,” Courtney Sheldon said. “But it’s also the fact that there’s so much else going on right now and then you have people that are purposely causing problems for more people.”

On Tuesday, May 26, Midas Grafton told CBS 58 in the morning, they repaired six tires. They’re fixing any damaged tires for free.
“During all of this COVID virus, there’s so many people out of work and then to find something as disgraceful as vandalism with that many tires going on out there, our biggest concern is that people would be hurting already,” Midas Grafton Owner Jim Glaser said.
Grafton Police say they have more patrols around the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities
