MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person is in the hospital after an apartment fire early Friday morning, March 6.

Just after 3:30 a.m., the Milwaukee Fire Department says they responded to a four-unit apartment building near Forest Home Avenue.

A small fire was located in one of the units and quickly put out.

After a search of the unit, one person was located unconscious and removed from the building.

They were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The Milwaukee Fire Department was assisted by the Greenfield Fire Department and the West Allis Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
