Oshkosh firefighter dead after semi vs truck crash in Indiana, 2 others injured

OSHKOSH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Wisconsin firefighter is dead after a car crash in Indiana. 

The Oshkosh Fire Department identifies the victim as one of their own, 26-year-old Thomas Diener. 

He was with two other members of the department, who were both seriously hurt, but are expected to be okay. 

Diener was also a lieutenant with the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department. 

CBS 58's sister station in South Bend reports the three men were parked on the shoulder of a highway Thursday night, Dec. 11, when a semi-truck slammed into their pickup truck. 

Donations are being accepted to support Diener's family and to help with medical costs for the two other men.
