Overhead line issue causes outages for more than 1,300 in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As of Monday at 8:55 a.m., the We Energies outage map shows that service should be restored to impacted customers.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies crews responded to a power outage impacting around 1,350 customers in the area of Milwaukee's lower east side early Monday, March 24.
The outage appeared on the utility’s online outage map around 7 a.m., with the cause being listed as an overhead line problem. Restoration was estimated for 9 a.m., though no definitive timetable was posted.
A We Energies spokesperson tells CBS 58 that high winds have caused scattered outages across the area and confirmed crews are investigating the outages and working to restore power safely.
