Packers accepting nominations for Protect and Serve Award

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers are accepting nominations for the Packers Protect and Serve Award, which honors law enforcement officers in Wisconsin. The award recognizes officers who demonstrate leadership, dedication and a commitment to public safety.

Nominations are open through Friday, March 14 for active, full or part-time officers.

Awards will be given in four categories: Individual Officer Award, K-9 Award, School Resource Officer Award and Department Award. A total of 15 recipients will be selected.

The award is funded by the Packers and the NFL Foundation. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 grant for their department or a nonprofit organization. Nominations can be submitted by clicking here.
