Packers announce 100th season kick off concert

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers have announced the events for the 100th season kick off "Celebration Weekend".

The event starts Saturday night, September 8 with a free concert outside Lambeau Field featuring Steve Miller Band. The festivities will begin with the Johnsonville Tailgate Village opening for fans and concert-goers at 4:30 p.m., with live music beginning at 7:30 p.m. near the Oneida Nation Gate. The Johnsonville Tailgate Village will offer a variety of food and beverages for purchase, and will be open until 9 p.m.

Attendees can park for free at the Lambeau Field parking lots.

The celebration will continue the next day, with Sunday night’s Packers-Bears game. The Lambeau Field parking lots and Johnsonville Tailgate Village will open at 3:20 p.m., and gates will open at 5:20 p.m.
