MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Packers fans are out in the Deer District enjoying the first game of the season on Sunday, Sept. 12.
Despite the weather, there is a fair number of excited fans watching the game. Fans say they couldn't wait to get back to their normal drinks, food, and fun during Packers game.
While many fans at Deer District say there aren't as many people out as there have been in years before COVID-19, they are still happy to be celebrating.
"It feels good to be back, I was getting sick of watching games at home, it's not the same environment without strangers getting excited for the Packers," Packers fan Emily Vanlangen said.
Workers at local businesses say they are also glad to be getting their football season regulars back at the bars.
