Packers place WR Taylor on reserve/Covid-19 list; King listed out with shoulder injury

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers released multiple roster announcements Friday, Oct. 15, highlighted by the team placing wide receiver Malik Taylor on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Friday in a press release.

According to a statement from the Packers Friday, "Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons."

Another roster announcement, unrelated to the Taylor's news, was announced in Green Bay Friday.

Head Coach Matt LaFleur stated in a press conference that starting cornerback Kevin King will be out for Sunday's game with a shoulder injury.

The Packers face the Chicago Bears Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon at Soldier Field in Chicago.
