CHICAGO, Ill. (CBS 58) -- On Saturday, the U.S. Men's National Soccer team has an international friendly with Germany at Soldier Field in Chicago. CBS 58 Sports Director Lance Allan will be there, and so too will Antonio Freeman. The Packers Super Bowl champion is the proud father of defender Alex Freeman.

"He's a good kid," Antonio Freeman says. "He probably got into most trouble when he was kicking balls up against my furniture. I do silly things and goofy things, like run around the house, and I think that's my shield from crying. You know, because this guy brought me a lot of, a lot of good times and a lot of proud moments."

"When Antonio found out his son made the World Cup squad, was it like that Super Bowl touchdown that you caught from Brett? Or was it even better?" Allan asked.

"It was even better, and that's hard to beat," Freeman says. "You know, but when you put so much into your kids, and you want so much better for them, you know, you can really sit around a round table and ask anybody. How much better does it get than winning a Super Bowl? You know, going on in an 81-yard touchdown in the Super Bowl. Well, he topped it. And this is it. Representing your country. Wearing those US colors. But for me, as a dad, you know what? You already made it, buddy. You know, you already my hero, so, I just don't want him to put too much added pressure on himself. He's still 21 and growing and learning. So, getting a little crackly in my voice because, you know, just thinking about it, you know man, you already made it. You already did it. Like so many young kids and the academy organizations that he played with, you know, that look up to him and put him on a pedestal now, and I just encourage him just to be the best Alex you can be. You know, that's all."

"I bet Freeman isn't taking his U.S. soccer jersey off all week, is he?" Allan asked.

"Nah man, I'm wearing it," Freeman says. "And I got another. I got the blue one. So I'm ready!"
