Packers set dates for 81st training camp, Family Night returns Aug. 7
CBS 58 GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers announced public practice dates for the 2026 training camp, which opens Wednesday, July 29 at Ray Nitschke Field.
The team holds three consecutive public practices to start camp, July 29-31, followed by a day off and three more practices beginning Sunday, Aug. 2. Packers Family Night, said to have a game-like atmosphere according to the team, is scheduled to take place on Friday, Aug. 7 at Lambeau Field, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and practice beginning at 7:30 p.m. The event includes a fireworks show, jersey and thunderstick giveaways.
Green Bay continues practices through mid-August before road preseason games against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Aug. 13 and the Denver Broncos on Friday, Aug. 21.
The lone home preseason game comes Friday, Aug. 28 against the Arizona Cardinals, designated as this year's Packers Give Back Game.
Family Night tickets are $10 plus fees. All other public practices are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m., though indoor moves due to weather would close practices to the public.
