MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A crash near 76th and Silver Spring left a 52-year-old pedestrian dead. 

The crash happened Saturday, Jan. 11 around 5:25 p.m.

Police say a pedestrian was crossing 76th Street going westbound when they were struck by a vehicle. 

The pedestrian, identified as 52-year-old Dion Stewart of Milwaukee, was transported to a local hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 45-year-old, was taken into custody.

An investigation is ongoing and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
