Pete's Pops will open an outdoor pop-up stand at the Milwaukee Public Market

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Public Market announced Pete's Pops will open "Sneaky Pete's", a seasonal outdoor pop-up stand serving Pete's signature pops and a newly released line of alcoholic slushies and frozen treats, outside of the market this summer.

It will open this summer along the market's St. Paul Avenue sidewalk plaza on Friday, June 25.

Pete's Pops has permanent locations on Vliet Street in Bay View and a new location in West Allis. Pete's features more than 100 flavors of pops, officials say.

“My first day of pushing out a Pete's Pops cart was in June of 2014 at the corner of Broadway and St. Paul Avenue in the Third Ward right outside the public market. To now have a seasonal location here, at one of Milwaukee's most iconic destinations, is something that makes me incredibly proud, honored and thankful,” said Pete Cooney, owner of Pete’s Pops and Sneaky Pete’s. “The idea for Sneaky Pete's has been sitting in my head for a while and was born out of years of public feedback asking for alcoholic versions of our frozen treats.  I'm excited for the public to try our new alcoholic slushies and pop-tails, which will be inspired by our favorite pop flavors. We'll also have a full selection of our signature non-alcoholic pops available for families and kids that visit the market!"

Sneaky Pete's will be open Thursday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. depending ont he weather.
