Pets, people both need to keep it cool and drink lots of water
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Ask any medical professional, whether it be for man or man's best friend, and they'll all pretty much tell you the same thing in dangerous weather conditions like we're having on Wednesday and Thursday. Limit your time outside considerably and make sure you're staying hydrated in a cool climate, preferably one cooled by air conditioning. When temperatures are near 100 and heat indices well about the century mark, it's best to make water your friend. And as far as the family pet goes, one MADACC spokesperson says quick potty breaks are all what's needed outside. Stay far away from doghouses and cars with rolled up windows and no A/C. All these scenarios could result in deadly consequences.
