Plane crashes in Lake Winnebago, search and rescue efforts underway

The U.S. Coast Guard tweeted that they found one person unresponsive and are continuing to look for the other one.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's office reports that there were 2 people on board the plane and that recovery efforts for them and the plane are ongoing.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to a tweet from the U.S. Coast Guard, a T-6 Texan airplane crashed in Lake Winnebago on Saturday, July 29. The Coast Guard and other rescue agencies on scene report seeing debris and an oil slick.

Troy Jahns, Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue shift commander, tells CBS 58 that a call came in just after 9 a.m. this morning for a plane crash on Lake Winnebago south of Neenah between Neenah and Oshkosh. They've sent a rescue boat with divers to assist other agencies in the search.
