OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Families got a chance to see some of the equipment used by first responders up close on Saturday.
The Oak Creek branch of the Milwaukee Area Technical College hosted a free 'Fire, Police, EMS Expo.'
The event is designed to encourage adults and children to explore, understand, and celebrate the work of firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical technicians.
It's also a great way to introduce young people into those career fields.
"We also have a great opportunity for high school kids to see MATC programs in action and our students to meet with professionals in the field," said Doug Braun, Instructor at MATC.
There were more than 50 first responder agencies at Saturday's event.
