Police ID woman killed in Greenfield homicide

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities identified the woman killed in Greenfield as 50-year-old Jamie Le Ward.

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a homicide on the 4700 block of West Maple Leaf Circle in Greenfield.

Police received a call from an out-of-state family member of the resident of this area.

The caller asked police to do a welfare check, as they had received information that a family member was dead.

Officials say the victim is a 50-year-old female.

The 48-year-old husband was taken into custody after a brief standoff with police in Franklin.

Police say this was a domestic incident and that there is no threat to the public.
