Police investigate quintuple shooting near 28th and Ruby; 2 die in crash on way to hospital
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after five people were shot at a party near 28th and Ruby early Sunday, June 21.
It happened around 3:36 a.m.
According to police, a 34-year-old woman from Milwaukee was shot. She was being transported to a local hospital when the vehicle that she was in crashed into a tree near Sherman and Nash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said it's still unclear if the woman died from the gunshot injuries or the crash.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee, sustained fatal injuries.
Police said a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee sustained serious injuries in the shooting. He walked into a local hospital for treatment and is in critical condition. A 33-year-old man from Milwaukee sustained serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Police said a 22-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman from Milwaukee sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both were treated at a local hospital and released.
