MPD arrests man for making terrorist threats to Riverside High School

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say around midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 23 they arrested a 20-year-old Milwaukee man for making terrorist threats to Riverside High School through social media.

Milwaukee Public Schools released a statement saying, "This evening we became aware of a possible threat on social media and are working with MPD to monitor the situation to ensure all students and staff remain safe. The school day will continue as normal and MPD will keep a presence at the Riverside HS during the school day."

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police said Tuesday, Oct. 22, they've been made aware of a shooting threat to occur at Riverside High School on Oct. 23. 

In a statement Tuesday night, MPD said, "The Milwaukee Police Department takes these threats seriously. We are actively investigating this matter and seeking the suspect(s) involved."

No further information is available at this time.
