Police looking for suspects in an armed robbery carjacking incident near UWM campus

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in an early morning armed robbery carjacking near the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee's campus.

Officials say it happened near Frederick Ave. and Linnwood Ave. at around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. That is when police say the suspects approached the victim and asked for their keys to a silver 2024 Hyundai Sonata, with the license plate: AXW-6867.

The suspects then fled in the victim's car heading southbound on N. Cramer St. It was last seen near N. Water St and E. Pleasant St.

The first suspect is described as being a black man 16 to 20 years old, 5'6" tall, with deadlocks and wearing all black clothing.

The second suspect is described as being a black woman, 16 to 20 years old, with a 5'5" average build, and was wearing a black mask and armed with a handgun.
