Pursuit tied to armed robbery ends with crash into porch, 2 arrests

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested two people following a vehicle-and-foot pursuit that ended in a crash early Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Officers say they attempted to stop a car near 11th and Greenfield at approximately 2:42 a.m. in connection to an armed robbery, but the driver fled. The pursuit ended when the vehicle lost control and collided with a porch near Russell and Bay St.

A 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman fled on foot, but MPD says they were arrested after a brief chase.

No injuries were reported, and police say criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
