FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The suspect was located and taken into custody in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Nov. 29, according to the Franklin Police Department.

Staff and students at Franklin High School were put on lockdown Monday morning, Nov. 20.

Police reported to CBS 58, there was a potential security issue and they took precautionary measures.

According to an update from the district to parents, officers did a sweep of the school before lifting the lockdown.

Middle and elementary schools were put in a "secure" state that has since lifted, but there will be no outdoor classes or recess.

Elementary and Middle School Parents,

At this time we have all elementary schools and the middle school on a ‘Secure’ which means that all students are in classrooms safe and the day is carrying on. Secure means we are not allowing anyone that is not students or staff in the schools at this time. As elementary school students arrive they are moving safely to their classrooms. Please do not come to school at this time as the Secure is to ensure safety.
