Police searching for man in connection to sexual assault on Milwaukee’s east side

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are searching for a suspect wanted for a sexual assault that occurred on the city's east side.

Police say around 1:30 a.m. on July 30, a suspect approached a victim near N. Maryland Ave and Park Place, and sexually assaulted them. Officials say during the assault, the victim was stabbed. The victim was able to break free, according to police. The suspect is described by police as a white male, 30 to 40 years of age, around 6 ft, and about 250 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded shirt and a gaiter neck mask. The man was armed with a knife.
