WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Milwaukee police say a 15-year-old boy is in the hospital after falling from an overpass while fleeing police early Monday morning, Oct. 5.

The police department says officers tried to stop a reckless driver traveling through the village just before 3 a.m. A brief pursuit began, from Miller Park Way onto US 175. Officials say police ended the chase and later found the disabled vehicle on I-94 near American Family Field, and saw two suspects running from the scene.

Police say the first suspect ran north along the railroad tracks near N. 44th St. and the second suspect climbed over the overpass ramp before falling.

The 15-year-old boy who fell was given medical attention taken to an area hospital where he's said to be in stable condition.

West Milwaukee police say the vehicle was stolen out of the City of Milwaukee.

Officers have not located the other suspect.

Charges will be referred against the 15-year-old in children's court once an investigation is complete.
