MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Next year's Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee will require a massive effort from a variety of groups, including the Milwaukee 2020 host committee.
Liz Gilbert, the president of the host committee, spoke at the Milwaukee Press Club Wednesday, Nov. 13.
She talked about the importance of several organizations working together to make the event the best it can be.
"It's not just about four days in an arena and that's the convention," said Gilbert. "They understand what we're trying to do here on the ground, that we're trying to make a significant difference and leave a lasting legacy on Milwaukee."
The convention runs from July 13-16 of 2020.
