MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Efforts to save the Milwaukee Domes are turning to some outside-the-box thinking.
A surprise crop could soon be growing in the greenhouses.
Some leaders estimate growing hemp could bring in a couple million dollars a year.
Milwaukee County is now doing the research on the financials to determine just how much money could be made.
It's an important question that could affect the future of the Domes.
Hemp proponents want people to know that it's not the same as pot. Hemp does not have THC in it.
