Protesters gather as abortion services resume at Sheboygan health center

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dozens of protesters stood in the rain outside the Sheboygan Health Center Thursday morning, where Planned Parenthood started offering abortion services again.

The clinic started scheduling appointments last week in the wake of the Dane County Court ruling that said Wisconsin's 1849 abortion ban does not apply to consensual abortions.

Sheboygan County's district attorney plans to appeal that ruling.

Abortion services in Wisconsin had stopped after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade in 2022.

They've seen resumed in Milwaukee, Madison and now Sheboygan.
