Successfully faking your own death is hard, but it can be done
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A large group of protesters gathered at the scene of a deadly officer-involved shooting in Racine.
Family says 26-year-old Donte Shannon was shot by police. Police say he was running from a traffic stop and had a gun.
On Friday afternoon, a group of about 200 people marched from the intersection to the police station and to city hall. The crowd was loud but peaceful. Family and friend say they want answers about the police-involved shooting that killed the 26-year-old.
“My purpose is justice for my nephew. Why? Why? A simple traffic stop?” said Isaac Shannon, Donte Shannon’s uncle.
Shannon has a criminal history that mainly includes drug-related charges.
