RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This year, you can take your mom to a fun experience at the Racine Zoo! Beth Heidorn, Executive Director of the Racine Zoo and Abby Flores, Conservation Education Manager joined us in studio to talk about an array of events.

All In for the Animals Fundraiser

For the month of April, we would like to ask you to reach into your hearts and help the Racine Zoo make a difference. Our Animal Care Department provides essential daily and specialized veterinary care to over 300 animals and 75 unique species that make your trip to the Zoo so memorable. Racine Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which means we are held to the "gold standard" of animal care. For a nonprofit like Racine Zoo, it is a steep price tag to maintain this level of care. Donors place a crucial role to keep our 100-year-old zoo running. Through the generous support of the community, Racine Zoo can continue to provide our beloved animals with the care they need. Our mission is to educate and inspire our guests and the community while providing an affordable wildlife experience that improves the bond between people and nature for years to come.

Mother’s Day Brunch

• Let's celebrate mom! Join us for a special Mother's Day brunch to spend some quality time with mom and all of your favorite animals at the zoo! This event will include: delicious catered brunch, fun giraffe encounter, lovely flower for mom, commemorative photo, crafts for kids to create for mom, plus same-day zoo admission. Adult Member: $35, Adult Non-Member: $45, Child Member: $25, Child Non-Member: $35, Children 2 years and younger: FREE

Bloody Mary Fest

• Saturday, May 18, 2024
• 11am - 2pm
• Join the Racine Zoo in celebrating your Saturday the right way with a bloody mary in hand, along the beautiful lakefront! Sample the best bloody marys Racine has to offer with all the fixings. In true Wisconsin style, that includes beer chasers. There will be a crowd favorite vote along with our panel of judges to reveal the winners at the end of the fest! $40 general admission, $25 non-drinking admission

Music at the Zoo

• Select Wednesdays in the summer!
• Doors open at 5:30pm, concerts begin at 7pm
• Invite your friends, grab your folding chairs, and get ready for a weekend of music at the Zoo! Take in the scenic Lake Michigan lakefront, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy some great tunes. Check out Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute on June 26; Fire and & Ice Celebrating Pat Benatar on July 17; Respect! A Tribute to the Queen of Soul on July 31 and Betsy Ade & the Well-Known Strangers on August 14 to end the series. $30 per person online, $35 per person at the gate, $90 per person season tickets online. Proceeds benefit the animals and programs of the Racine Zoo.
