NOW: Racine & Me March 11, 2018: Foxconn Forums, Heart Age with Aurora Health Care, Diva Quest, and Relentless Team
NEXT:

Jacob Kittilstad looked ahead to a series of forums scheduled at Carthage College. The topic: Foxconn and how it could affect Southeastern Wisconsin and the state. Organizers have brought together a number of local officials and professors with unique economic and social perspectives. The topic of their next forum will be “Impact on Local Government, Geography, and Policy”. Click here for more information

Next Jacob had some health professionals take a look at his “Heart Age”.  Aurora Health Care’s Burlington Wellness Center will be providing the free analysis as part of their Snippets of Health for Seniors. The risk-assessment looks at factors like age, weight, BMI, blood pressure, and health history. It only takes a few moments to gather the information, but organizers say it provides good information – steering people in a positive direction by being informed about their own bodies. The winner of Diva Quest – a senior at Burlington High School - then joined the program to fill the studio with her strong singing voice. The annual scholarship competition focuses on how young women command the stage (through both song and presence) and is coordinated through the Riverport Chorus. Click here for more information

The people involved have varied interests including (but not limited to) power lifting, bodybuilding, boxing, and obstacle course racing. The athletes also gave Racine & Me an in-studio demonstration to show off a few exercises and explain how they support one another. Click here for more information
