Jacob Kittilstad welcomed employees of Fischer USA Inc. to the studio to talk about their upcoming fundraiser benefitting the Susan G. Komen Relay for Life. The company, which sells and repairs spindle products, banded together after one of their salespeople experienced a loss in his family. Since they started fundraising, over the years they have collected about $25,000 – and they hope that momentum will continue in 2018. For more information on Fischer USA Inc. click here

Next, the game master of Chronicles of the Realm LARP joined Jacob in the studio, along with two NPCs. In layman’s terms LARPing is “Live Action Role Playing” and the event scheduled for The DeKoven Center is based in the fantasy lore laid out story organizers and developed by the players. NPC is the term for actors who interact with people who join the storyline. According to their website, the three day event will explore “broke and mended alliances, epic romance, conquest of great bravery, and battles of great strength”. Click here for more information

The Racine Theatre Guild also came on the program to discuss their latest production: A Comedy of Tenors. The premise of the show is that on the eve of a star-studded concert where three famous tenors are scheduled to perform together - everything that can go wrong does. That includes clandestine love affairs, romantic misunderstandings and enormous operatic egos threatening to cancel the entire concert. The discussion in-studio also explored why the image and stereotypes about Tenors persist today. Click here for more information


Jacob also had two of the actors reflect on their characters relationship – and talk about how an Italian influence can raise the emotional stakes of a scene. They also performed a brief scene showing off the hijinks and misunderstanding present in A Comedy of Tenors.
