RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- This week on Ra-Sing & Me, musician Sam Rodewald joined us!
Rodewald says his music is largely inspired by classical music, especially opera.
Rodewald released the following statement to CBS 58:
"Having studied vocal performance in college and performed with the Florentine opera chorus, the music I write is heavily influenced by those experiences. I try to blend that classical influence with pop, punk, and folk music into something that’s fun and accessible. I’m currently working on a Halloween themed album based on the list of 10 scary movies my wife and I have made to watch this October. It’s only just begun, but I will be posting updates of the work on my Patreon and will release when it is complete, sometime in November."
Rodewald has an upcoming show on Saturday November 12 at Lion’s Tooth Book Store in Bay View. I’ll be performing with another great Milwaukee musician, Jorge Vallentine. There is no cover and music starts at 5:30.
